Best prop firm 2026: choose by rules, not slogans
There is no universal best prop firm. This update replaces the old score-based ranking with a dated method and the current verified Phidias 2.0 terms.

First separate Futures from simulated forex and CFDs. Then compare drawdown, minimum days, payout terms, total cost, platforms, and whether the path is simulated or LIVE.

Five access routes announced with Phidias 2.0
Rithmic and DeepCharts remain available. Tradovate, NinjaTrader, and TradingView execution were added. TradingView routes through Tradovate; it is not a separate connection.

Evaluation prices are dynamic. Under a monthly plan, CASH activation is a one-time payment that lasts until the account fails. Under a one-time plan, the official rules currently state no CASH activation fee.

No fixed discount is attributed to code LUCAS without checkout confirmation. Market data, add-ons, taxes, and any resets still need to be checked.
Two mechanisms that must not be confused
Express to Live
After the evaluation, the trader must reach the target again on the CASH account and use Switch to Live. The rules then provide for the fixed bonus and size-based LIVE credit, subject to compliance.
Fundamental and Premium
Five approved payouts or USD 100,000 in cumulative profit makes the file eligible for review. The final decision belongs to the risk team and is never automatic. E2L activity does not count toward those thresholds.
Decide with a dated checklist
- Save the rules and checkout on purchase day.
- Calculate maximum cost, not only entry price.
- Tie position size to actual drawdown room.
- Do not infer future outcomes from a testimonial or ranking.
